Curriculum Vitae
Jerome Hommes began his chemistry studies at RWTH Aachen University in October 2016. He completed his bachelor's degree in February 2020 at the Institute for Technical and Macromolecular Chemistry at the Chair of Technical Chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Liauw with the thesis "Photooxygenation of 2-furanic acid to 5-hydroxy-2-furanone under dynamic conditions - investigation and optimization in continuous flow". He continued his master's studies at RWTH Aachen University and completed it in November 2022 under the supervision of Prof. Palkovits at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion with a thesis on the topic "Investigation of the continuous conversion of hemicellulose and downstream products using heteropolyacids on carbon supports." From January 2023 to June 2023, he worked as a research associate at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion. In July 2023 he moved to the laboratory of Industrial Chemistry as a research associate.
