Course Content
This course deals with independent case studies on various topics in the broad field of industrial chemistry. The main focus is on alternative production processes of chemically valuable compounds. In this way, contents for the development of processes, such as reactor design, process design, separation steps are treated and applied.
Aquired competences
Students acquire knowledge of the interrelationships in chemical process development. They gain insight into the relationships between raw materials, reactions, reaction kinetics, processes and economic success. By comparing the self-developed solutions to the real ones, the problem-solving strategies are questioned and critically examined.
